We are part of the Glasgow NW Cluster

We are developing a dedicated Cluster website which has the latest on our work with our partner congregations:
Glasgow NW Churches

The cluster proposal from Cluster 1D is:

Union of Blawarthill, Broomhill Hyndland and Jordanhill by the end of the Presbytery Plan period – i.e. Session 2027/28.

On the occurrence of a vacancy at any of the three (most likely through retirement), Linkage between the vacant congregation and another in the Cluster, as an intermediate step.

The option of further adjustment to expedite progress towards the aim of Union, depending on developments and subject to annual review, for the most effective deployment of our 2.5 FTE ministry allocation.

Retention of St Columba’s linked status within any wider adjustment for the foreseeable future.

Immediate and intentional collaboration between all four congregations.

Giving to the Church

At a time of considerable change in the life of our congregation, we are anxious to maintain our income stream.  The costs of keeping our unique witness alive both in Gaelic and in English, while we transition from our old church and plan new ways of reaching the Gaelic community, are ongoing.  One way for members to maintain their regular offerings, and for donors to support our ministry, with one-off or monthly donations, is to give online.  The Church of Scotland has now made this possible for all congregations.  Click the button below.  Then choose "Donate to a Congregation".  Type in "Glasgow St Columba" and please agree to Gift Aid your donation if you are a taxpayer.  Thank you! Tapadh leat!
