Weddings
The Minister and the Kirk Session are pleased to make the services and the facilities of Blawarthill and St Columba congregations available to any couple who sincerely wish a Christian wedding service to celebrate their marriage.

We are an open and inclusive congregation, and all are welcome to be married here. The minister is authorised to conduct same sex marriages.

If you are interested in marrying in the Church, or have any other questions, please contact us by email or by completing our contact form.
Funeral Services

Bereavement is a particularly hard time for any family, friend or relative. If you are reading this and have just lost a loved one, then please accept our prayers and support for your family at this time. The Church of Scotland believes that no-one should struggle at such a difficult time and as such there is a parish minister that covers every part of Scotland. There is no fee for a Church of Scotland minister.

The Minister, Rev Bruce Sinclair, is available to all within the Parish and congregation at times of bereavement or other difficult times. Whether this is just for advice or to conduct a service Bruce is more than happy to offer pastoral support, whether a member of the congregation or not. Funeral services can be held in the church at the crematorium or at a graveside.

When making funeral arrangements, it advised to contact your chosen Funeral Director first. They will guide you in the process of organising the funeral and contact the crematorium and minister to coordinate dates and times for you. It is always good to check the minister’s availability before making your final arrangements, just in case there is another booking in the diary.

You can also contact the minister at anytime whilst organising a funeral, he will be more than happy to discuss things with you.
